MAD SCIENCE,1960-70's

This clip from an old 16mm film, is of a solid-state light sequencer on my bench. It was very exciting to see this work without motors and mechanical switching. It felt like magic to be able to sequence lamps at any speed - silently, with no sparks, no heat, no ozone. Silicon Controlled Rectifiers were state of the art in 1965.
